(December 2025 – Calgary, Alberta) The ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce the acquisition of the rights to a publishing catalog developed by Khalil Walton, a premier executive at Vinyl Crown Recordings. The catalog is anchored by one of hip hop’s most iconic anthems: “No Role Modelz” by J. Cole.

Originally released in 2014, as part of 2014 Forest Hills Drive, “No Role Modelz” has become J. Cole’s most streamed track, surpassing 2.5 billion streams on Spotify and earning Diamond certification (14x Platinum) from the RIAA as of December 2024. The single peaked at #36 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 during the week of December 22, 2015, marking Cole’s fourth top-40 hit and the highest-charting record from the landmark album. Remarkably, the track achieved this status without an official music video, a testament to its cultural impact and longevity.

This catalog continues to generate meaningful recurring income driven by J. Cole’s enduring popularity and consistent streaming performance. With over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Cole remains one of hip-hop’s most respected and influential artists, with a discography that has shaped the genre for over a decade.
