ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund Secures Rights to Hit Tracks from Globally Acclaimed Songwriter Liz Rose

(October 2024 – Calgary, Alberta) The ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is proud to announce the acquisition of a catalog from Grammy Award-winning songwriter Liz Rose. The catalog features a collection of career-defining songs, notably her co-writes with Taylor Swift on Fearless and Red albums, including global hits like “You Belong with Me” and “All Too Well.” The acquisition also features newly released songs from Taylor Swift’s From the Vault collection: “We Were Happy” and “Bye Bye Baby.”

Liz Rose co-wrote “You Belong with Me,” a song that became an anthem of teenage love and earned multiple accolades, including a nomination for the 2010 Grammy Award for Song of the Year. Additionally, the song reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the BMI Pop Award for Song of the Year in 2010.

Rose’s work on “All Too Well” helped the song become a fan favorite and is widely regarded as one of Swift’s most powerful and acclaimed pieces. Itquickly became a cornerstone of Taylor Swift’s Red album, which earned Rose a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year in 2014. There was also a 10 Minute Version, featured in Red (Taylor’s Version), which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and made history as the longest song to ever top the chart. The accompanying short film, directed by Taylor Swift, won Best Music Video at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

In addition to these iconic hits, the catalog includes “We Were Happy” and “Bye Bye Baby,” two deeply emotional tracks released as part of Taylor Swift’s From the Vault series during the re-release of Fearless (Taylor’s Version). Her work on Fearless earned Liz Rose a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2010, further solidifying her legacy as a preeminent songwriter.
