ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund has Acquired Various Royalty Rights from Producer Nathan Chapman to Taylor Swift Recordings
ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce it has acquired various royalty rights from Producer Nathan Chapman to a catalogue of Taylor Swift’s recordings. The acquisition includes hit singles like “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me,” “Our Song,” “Back to December,” and “Teardrops On My Guitar.”
The transaction includes royalty rights in five albums: Taylor Swift (2006), Fearless (2008), Speak Now (2010), Red (2012) and 1989 (2014) and continues to diversify to the portfolio of music royalty rights owned by the ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund.
The rights were acquired from three-time Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter Nathan Chapman. Nathan is a Nashville native born into the industry as the only child of two working musicians. In addition to working with Taylor Swift on all five of these albums, he has worked with Mickey Guyton, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, Thompson Square, The Band Perry, Lionel Richie, Shania Twain, Cassadee Pope, Keith Urban, Lady A, Kesha, Avicii and many more.
Swift rose to mainstream prominence with her second studio album, Fearless. Fearless was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With sales of over 200 million records worldwide, Swift is one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Her accolades include 11 Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, 28 Guinness World Records, 32 American Music Awards (the most wins by an artist), and 23 Billboard Music Awards (the most wins by a woman). Swift was named the Woman of the Decade (2010s) by Billboard and Artist of the Decade (2010s) by the American Music Awards.
Revenue will be earned from platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, Pandora, Sound Exchange, iTunes, Amazon Music and many others as a result of owning the acquired producer rights.
