ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund has acquired rights to Four Albums by The Midnight
ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce it has acquired royalty rights, including partial master rights to four albums by electronic synthwave group The Midnight. The acquisition includes singles like “Los Angeles,” “Lost Boy,” “Sunset,” ” Jason,” and “Days of Thunder.”
The transaction includes four albums: Days of Thunder (2014), Endless Summer (2016), Nocturnal (2017), and The Kids (2018) and continues to diversify to the portfolio of music royalty rights owned by the ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund. The Midnight has 950,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and have 130+ million YouTube channel views.
’The Midnight emerged out of Los Angeles in the mid-2010s. Their third extended play Nocturnal became a best seller on Bandcamp while notching a number 17 ranking on Billboard’s dance/electronic chart. The follow up album Kids achieved a Billboard #1 ranking on the Dance/Electronic chart the following year. EDM.com called The Midnight the #1 Synthwave artist “Ask current synthwave fans who their favorite artist is and it’s a good bet their answer will be “The Midnight”. The Midnight has struck a chord with synthwave fans of all ages and their popularity continues to build with each new release, making it unlikely they’ll be knocked from their perch as the top synthwave artist any time soon.”
Revenue will be generated from platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, Pandora, Sound Exchange, iTunes, Amazon Music and many others from the acquired Master recording rights
