ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund has Acquired Writer and Co-Publishing Rights from Alex Cantrall
ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce the acquisition of a catalogue of writer share and co-publishing rights from Alex Cantrall. Alex has written and produced records in collaboration with over fifty artists who have sold in excess of 40 million albums.
Alex has worked with many of the music industry’s brightest stars, including Beyonce, Pink, Justin Timberlake, and Fergie. Alex’s work was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best R&B Album by Fantasia and Best Reggae Album by Shaggy. In 2010, Alex began focusing more on television, working on several hit shows from CSI to the new Beverly Hills 90210. In 2013 Alex produced on Disney’s #1, television show, Shake It Up and NBC’s hit series America’s Got Talent.
The catalogue has a 17-year dollar age average, driven by “Leave (Get Out)” released in 2004 and subsequently re-recorded in 2018; the song continues to gain traction from new listeners and is popular on TikTok. The original track is on 4,400 playlists with a reach of 3.7 million, and the 2018 re-recording is on 2,700 playlists with a reach of 2.21 million. JoJo is also releasing a new single on October 1, 2021, and has announced an upcoming tour.
