ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund has Acquired Rights a Catalogue of Pop and Hip Hops Songs from Brian Kidd
(Calgary, Alberta) ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce it has acquired a catalogue of popular pop and hip hop songs from engineer and producer Brian Kidd. The acquisition includes writer share, publisher share rights and a number of producer royalties.
The acquisition contains a diverse mix of songs such as “Do You Know” by Enrique Iglesias, “All About Tonight” by Pixie Lott, “Dimelo” by Enrique Iglesias and “Can’t Get Enough” by J Cole.
The songs by Enrique Iglesias bring further diversification into the Fund by expanding into the Latin genre. Enrique has over 18 million monthly Spotify listeners and over 123 million monthly YouTube video views. The song “Do You Know” by Enrique Iglesias was released 11 years ago and provides a source of reliable cash flow to the catalogue. Latin music saw U.S. recorded music revenues grow 37% to $407 million for the first six months of 2021, according to the RIAA’s 2021 mid-year Latin revenue report. In addition, J. Cole is seen as one of the top artists in hip hop today and is the first-ever rapper with six consecutive No. 1 studio albums.
Revenue will be earned from platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud, Pandora, Sound Exchange, iTunes, Amazon Music and many others.
