ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund Acquires Iconic Catalogs Featuring Hip-Hop, R&B and Timeless Classics

(March 2025 – Calgary, Alberta) The ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of two catalogs: Rebel Made publishing and Adrian Belew’s publishing and PRO rights. These transactions underscore ICM’s commitment to investing in iconic music catalogs that deliver cultural significance and long-term value.

The Rebel Made publishing catalog boasts an 11-year dollar age and a rich collection of Hip-Hop and R&B hits.

The catalog features several chart-topping and culturally influential tracks, including:

  • “All Eyes on You” (2015) by Meek Mill featuring Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj – Certified 2x Platinum
  • “L$D” (2015) by A$AP Rocky – Winner of Best Music Video at the 58th Grammy Awards
  • “Motivation” (2011) by Kelly Rowland – Reached #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts, marking her most successful solo single
  • “Lemme See” (2012) by Usher featuring Rick Ross – Certified Platinum and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart
  • “There Goes My Baby” (2010) by Usher – Certified Platinum and won Best Male R&B Vocal Performance at the 53rd Grammy Awards

The Fund is also pleased to announce the acquisition of publishing and PRO rights associated with Adrian Belew’s work on Tom Tom Club, an American new wave band founded in 1981 by husband-and-wife team Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth. The Adrian Belew catalog represents a unique addition to ICM Crescendo’s holdings, with a 14.1-year dollar age.

A highlight of the catalog is the rights to “Genius of Love” (1981) by Tom Tom Club, an enduring classic that has been heavily sampled in pop music history.

  • Mariah Carey’s “Fantasy” (1995) – A global hit that defined a generation of music
  • Latto’s “Big Energy” (2021) – A contemporary chart-topper that brought the song’s influence to a new audience
