ICM Crescendo and Raleigh Music Expand Historic Music Holdings with Dave Appell Catalog

(May 2025 – Calgary, Alberta) Following the highly successful March 2025 acquisition of the Kal Mann catalog, the ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund and Raleigh Music Publishing LLC are pleased to announce the acquisition of Dave Appell’s interest in his songwriting catalog.

Dave Appell was a renowned American songwriter and producer whose work helped define the pop and dance music of the 1950’s and ’60s. He was best known for co-writing Chubby Checker’s “Let’s Twist Again” and producing hits for Cameo-Parkway artists like Dee Dee Sharp, The Orlons, and Bobby Rydell. In the 1970s, he co-produced multiple #1 hits for Tony Orlando and Dawn. His catalog remains a cornerstone of American music history.

“Dave Appell’s catalog represents the very best of enduring American pop. From iconic dance hits to modern sync placements, this acquisition reflects our strategy of investing in culturally significant music with proven long-term value”
