Grammy Award Winner Devo Harris Joins ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund

ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund (the “Fund”) is pleased to announce that Devo Harris has joined the Fund as an advisor and will assist in finding artists interested in monetizing their music royalties, and sourcing U.S. based capital partners.

Devo Harris is a Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter who was on the founding team of Kanye West‘s GOOD Music label. At GOOD, Devo discovered, signed, and produced Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony (EGOT) winner John Legend and has written for Kanye West, Britney Spears, Aretha Franklin, Nas, Common & more with over 10 million records sold.

Devo won the Best Rap Song Grammy in 2006 for his production of “Diamonds (from Sierra Leone)” with Kanye West and Jay-Z. He also won a Grammy for Best R&B Album Get Lifted with John Legend and Best Rap Album Late Registration with Kanye West.

In 2008, Harris collaborated with John Legend on “If You’re Out There” which was used as Barack Obama’s re-election campaign theme song and appears on Legend’s third studio album Evolver. About the Fund, Devo says, “Royalty funds are awesome because they allow investors to diversify and hedge their portfolios by participating in an explosive industry while giving songwriters and artists instant liquidity. I love that ICM Crescendo is using a data-driven approach to uncover the secret factoids that give a music asset the best chance of long-term value. My goal is to help find the best partners for both the ICM Crescendo Music Royalty Fund and my fellow writers who are looking to invest in themselves.”

Devo is currently the founder and CEO of the interactive video software company Adventr. He holds his Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
