ICM Property Group Advances Mama Shelter Hotel in Mexico City
(Mexico City, Mexico – May 2026) ICM Asset Management (“ICM”) is pleased to report progress on the Mama Shelter Mexico City development, a hospitality investment within one of our real estate funds, expected to open later this year.
The project involves the conversion of two 1920s Beaux Arts properties into a 100-key, design-forward hotel located in the Colonia Roma neighbourhood. Development is being led by local partner Revitas, in collaboration with ICM Property Group, and with Accor and its lifestyle platform Ennismore, which includes the Mama Shelter brand.
Construction is nearing completion, with final installations and finishes underway, alongside the curation of the food and beverage offering, a central component of the Mama Shelter brand experience, supporting the project’s transition into an operating asset.
Positioned within one of Mexico City’s most dynamic cultural and lifestyle districts, Mama Shelter is designed to capture demand from international travellers and event-driven visitation. As highlighted in recent coverage, the city continues to see strong hospitality fundamentals, supported by rising tourism and demand for experience-driven accommodations.
